Weekend weather: Last weekend of summer; outlook damp and chilly for Queen’s commemoration

It’s the summer’s last weekend and off to a pleasant start for folks out to the International Plowing Match in Kemptville, or just hanging around.

Once fog patches dissipate early Saturday, expect a mix of sun and cloud through the day with a high of 19 C and UV index of 6.

Skies are actually expected to clear a bit Saturday evening, before clouds return early Sunday, with a 40 per cent chance of showers.

Watch out for fog patches Sunday night, with a low of 13 C.

Frankly, Sunday looks a bit gloomy, mainly cloudy with a few showers in the morning. There’s also a risk of thunderstorms all through the day.

The weather office is looking at an estimated 10-15 mm. The temperature is expected to hit 24 C, with humidity making it feel like 30.

And Monday looks like it will damp and chilly as the capital says final goodbyes to Queen Elizabeth II.

A steady stream of showers all Monday long, with a high of 17 C and a low of 13 C.
