Weather: High 6 C with a little of this, a little of that ahead of a warmer week

As we settle into the month and April tries to decide whether it’s spring (or not), we’re looking at a warmish, relatively sunny week to start off, then some April showers.

Environment and Climate Change Canada’s weather office is predicting rain starting Wednesday night through Saturday and even a chance of flurries by Saturday.

But first, for Sunday, the outlook is for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 6 C.

It should become cloudy this afternoon with 40 per cent chance of showers late this afternoon. Wind becoming northeast 20 km/h near noon.  Wind chill -6 Sunday morning. UV index 5 or moderate.

Sunday night will be cloudy with a  40 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries this evening. Fog patches developing overnight. Wind up to 15 km/h, and a low of -4 C.  Wind chill -8 overnight.

For Monday, we’re expecting a mix of sun and cloud, then becoming cloudy in the afternoon with a high of 11 C. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. Wind up to 15 km/h. High 11. Wind chill -7 in the morning. UV index 4 or moderate.

Monday evening, we should see cloudy periods, and a low of -1 C.

The normal high for this date is 8 C with a low of -2 C.
