Weather: High 15 C today, we’ll have a warm week, starting off wet

Wasn’t that a glorious weekend? For those who were out in the garden, or participating in record numbers in the CN Cycle for CHEO, it couldn’t have been a better day.

It’s shaping up to be not so nice for Monday and Tuesday, but that’s tempered by the temperatures that will hit the high teens this week.

Environment and Climate Change Canada’s weather office is predicting cloudy skies for Monday with a 40 per cent chance of showers early this morning, then a few showers beginning this morning. Wind east 20 km/h becoming light this morning. The high should reach 15 C with a moderate UV index of 3.

It will remain cloudy this evening, with a 70 per cent chance of showers. Fog patches developing near midnight, and a low of 8 C

Tuesday is again predicted to be mainly cloudy, with fog patches dissipating in the morning, and a high of 19 c. UV index 6 or high.

For Tuesday night, the outlook is for rain, and a low of 10 C.

After a mixed day Wednesday, it’s looking like clear sailing with sunny skies through Sunday and highs in the 19 C to 20 C range, and overnight lows below 5 C.

We’re right around the averages for this date, with highs of 17 C and lows of 5 C.
