Weather: Clearing and 9 C Wednesday, wet again Thursday

After 10 mm of rain mixed with about 2 cm of snow Tuesday, Wednesday’s outlook is cool but clearing.

The expected high is 9 C with a west wind at 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light late in the afternoon, according to Environment and Climate Chance Canada.

The UV index is 6 or high.

The mercury is expected to dip to -2 C Wednesday night with a wind chill of -6.

“Normals” for this time of year are highs of 13 C and lows of 3 C.

The rain is expected to return starting Thursday morning with a high of 10 C and wind becoming south at 30 km/h gusting to 50 near noon. The predicted low is 3 C.

Friday’s forecast is for sunny skies and a high of 13 C dipping to -1 C overnight.

Mixed but dry skies and a high of 14 C are expected Saturday with a low of 4 C Saturday night.

Sunday is expected to reach 17 C under cloudy skies with a low of 9 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers overnight.
