The celebration of all things British car — from exotic Aston Martin’s and Bentley’s to humble Rovers and Minis — will be held on Saturday May 21.

“After two years hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pleased to welcome Hagerty, the world’s largest collector care insurer and automotive lifestyle brand to partner with us as presenting sponsor,” said event co-chair Patrick Stewart.

For the first time, this year, there will be an award for Best Club and a Youth Judging Awards program as well as an “ElectraClassic vehicle display showcasing the combination of classic looks with modern driveability.”

Stewart said he was hoping to show three classic vehicles that had been converted to electric.

He said that after 27 years, the car run that occurred from Vancouver to Whistler on the Sunday following the event — culminating in a car display in Olympic Plaza and Creekside — had been changed because organizers were unable to secure a venue to show the vehicles.

“As a result of these changed circumstances, the Vancouver ABFM Run will offer a new and improved replacement event — the Vancouver-Harrison All British Run — already affectionately dubbed the Searching for Sasquatch Rally,” he said.

“With this fresh opportunity, the event organizers intend to increase the day’s fun factor, including entertainment, barbecue lunch, optional overnight hotel stay, plus awards and lots of prizes.”
