Skeleton-masked suspect sought in reported robbery with a handgun in Stittsville

The Ottawa police robbery unit is asking the public for help to identify a suspect in a reported armed robbery at a store on Hobin Street last week.

A man with a handgun is alleged to have demanded cash and cigarettes from a clerk at about 3:16 a.m. on April 13, the Ottawa Police Service said in a release Wednesday.

The clerk handed over the items and the suspect fled. No one was injured.

The man — who wore a full-face skeleton mask — is described as white and tall with a slim build. He wore a white hooded sweatshirt with “NY” in dark, possibly blue, block letters, white or light grey track pants and red shoes. He carried a grey bag with black trim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116.
