Calgary police say a woman was attacked from behind by an unknown man while she was walking in Nose Hill Park Wednesday night.
According to police, the incident happened around 10:40 p.m. while walking near a parking lot at 14th Street and 64th Avenue N.W.
An unknown man attacked the woman from behind. She fought back and was able to escape and call for help. Police say the woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
“We engaged several units and resources in an attempt to locate the suspect, including HAWCS, our canine unit, District 3 patrol members and our forensic crime scene unit,” said Staff Sergeant Colin Chisholm in a press release. “We are now asking the public for their help while we work to ensure the safety of all Calgarians.”
The suspect is described as slim, wearing a red hoodie, black face mask and gloves. He was wearing jeans with a key lanyard hanging out of the front pocket and white shoes.
