Police looking for girl, 12

The Ottawa Police Service on Friday requested public assistance in locating a 12-year-old girl who had been listed as missing.

Keira Fitzsimmons was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. Thursday in the Blackburn Hamlet area, police said in a media release, adding there were concerns for her safety.

She is described as a Caucasian female with a thin build, black hair and a nose piercing. She was wearing a black “hoodie” sweater, green tank top, grey jogging pants and black “Air Force One” running shoes. She was also carrying a pink and white backpack with bears on it.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222. Anonymous tips could be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at
