A surge of new jobs in the capital brought the region’s jobless rate down to 4.6 per cent in April.
The compares with 4.9 per cent in March and 6.8 per cent in April, 2021.
The region added 18,000 net new jobs in April while the labour force expanded by 15,700.
It’s the first time job totals — 795,500 — have been higher than the pre-pandemic peak.
