Missing girl, 15, last seen near Russell and Walkley roads


She has access to OC Transpo, is familiar with the O-train and bus routes, and has been known to stay in transit stations, police said.

City police are asking the public to help them find 15-year-old Deziree Debessay who has been missing since April 23.

Missing persons unit investigators and her family are concerned for her health and well-being, the Ottawa Police Service said Monday.

Debessay was last seen near the intersection of Russell and Walkley roads. She has access to OC Transpo, is familiar with the O-train and bus routes, and has been known to stay in transit stations, police said.

Debessay is described as Black with a light complexion and is five feet, four inches tall. She has eyelash extensions and a “notch” in her right eyebrow, police said.

Anyone with information about her current whereabouts was asked to call police at 613-236-1222.
