A fire that started on a balcony of a home in east Gatineau caused $150,000 in damage Sunday, according to the city’s fire department.
Twenty-four firefighters responded to 17 Berthe St., east of Gréber Boulevard, just before 10 a.m. and had the fire under control at 10:48 a.m.
Two people escaped uninjured.
The fire department said the fire started on a rear balcony and spread to the attic.
The cause of the fire wasn’t released.
